Pauses with “Ibn Qutb”
In the name of Allah, the Gracious and the Merciful
- Praise to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honored of messengers, our prophet Muhammed and his family and companions (Sahabah) and those who had followed them righteously to the day of judgment,
As for what follows:
▪ For those who want to save themselves we will speak about the reality of who “Qutb” exactly is, his books, the truth of his editions which he has acknowledged late of his life, and if he disowned & secured himself from all of the Kufriyat that he gowned or the many apparent Kufriyat which were spread in his society for centuries?!
“This man has mesmerized and misguided people who took light many of his Kufriyat or refused arrogantly and obstinately & denied them because he was right in his report of “Kufr of Legislation” and what pertains to it, and because of his Kufr judgement on those whom the “Kufr of Legislation” was rampant among without their denial”
• And know my Muwahid brother, that excusing and not declaring Takfir of those who fell into any single issue relating to Kufr such as saying: “the Qur’an is created” is enough the excuser to disbelieve by Ijma of the Salaf. And this falls under the Irjā of the Jahmīyyah.
* So how about the one who not only excuses them but labels the one who declares Takfir upon them as an “Extremist”?!
• there is no doubt that he is more disbelieving and Jahmi.
- And if just revering an owner of innovation is from misguidance and aiding to destroy Islam. As stated from some of Salaf;
→ Al-Fuḍayl ibn ʻIyāḍ (May Allah have mercy upon him) said: - ‘’Whoever reveres an innovator of heresy has helped to destroy Islam, and also whoever smiles in the face of an innovator has underestimated what Allah sent down upon Muhammad (ﷺ), and whoever weds his daughter to an innovator has cut off her womb, and whoever follows the funeral of an innovator is under the wrath of Allah until he returns’’. {Explanation of the sunnnah by Imam Al Barbahari p.139}
* Then, what about this defender, fighter, and calumniator against the people of Tawhid for the sake of some Jahmiyyahh, Murtadeen (apostates), and Kuffar?!
- Beside that the Salaf have matched up a person with his friends, even if he publicly differs with them in belief.
→ Abu Dawood said: - ‘’I told Abu Abdullah Ahmed Bin Hanbal that I saw a Sunni man with a man of innovation (Bid’ah). Do I stop talking to him?
He said ‘’No, inform the Sunni man that this man is innovator of a heresy, if he stops talking with him, you can talk to him, if not catch him up with the innovator’’.
→ Abdullah Ibn Masood said: - ‘’The person is like his friend’’. Tabaqat Al Hanabilah 1-260, No.216.
* So, how about this (Qutb)?!
• It is a great affliction (Balaa) and (Fitnah) that the people of desire and misguidance support Islamic law (Sharia) in some matters; it is stated in al-Bukhari that prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) said: ((None will enter paradise (Janah) but a Muslim, and Allah may support this religion (Islam) even with a disobedient man.)) (Book: Al Jihad, chapter: Allah supports religion with a disobedient man).
“The issue around Qutb is not about overpowering and victory for one’s own opinion & ego, it is all about religion, worshiping Allah, and it is either salvation or destruction, (And Allah’s help is sought, Allah is our sufficer and He is the best disposer of affairs). And returning to the truth is a closeness to Allah, virtue, firmness and strength in personality. And by Allah we do not intend to patronize anybody with this. For we were like the people of Jahmiyyah for years before - May Allah forgive us and keep us firm upon the Sunnah till we meet Him”
▪ And the reality of Qutb in brief is as follows:
1- His Kufriyat (pl. Kufr) are apparent in the editions that he acknowledged through his books after his last retreat and what he recommended to his brother before death.
2- He did not fulfill what Allah required in repentance of altering the religion, spreading what opposes it and misleading people through what he has published from misguidance.
→ Allah said ((Except those who repent, reform, and let the truth be known; I will turn to them, for I am the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful.)) 160 ((Al Baqarah))
• This was not fulfilled by Qutb, and his books, editions, and commandment are witness to that. For reformation and declaration have an Islamic lawful and customary reality and not just a mere claim or spoken word.
3- The principle of declaring Takfir on all individuals and denominations that display many different types of Kufr, and which spread among them and were preponderant upon them and the default of their status, no one is excluded from this regardless of their level of knowledge or status, except the one who has been proven with certainty (and not by mere suspicions or measurements, (pay attention to this condition: and not by suspicions or measurements!) that he has fulfilled the below two conditions: -
- The first: - To disavow all these Kufriyat and declare his opposition to his people, and also required in this is the declaration that it is from the major Kufr (Kufr Akbar) and not from the misguidance that is below Kufr, as is widespread amongst many Jahmiyyahh Murjia and this is especially common among Egyptians as well as others.
• Thus, it becomes clear that there are no exception to Takfir (considering Kafir) anyone who has been proven to have manifested some of the Kufr of his sect or people, as the condition is ALL and not some.
- The Second: And it must be proven about him with certainly and not by measurement that he judged the individuals who have manifested it with Kufr, and Islam nor Tawhid would not be correct for them.
And it has been widespread in Egypt & other than it for centuries:
→ Not calling the supplication to the dead the major Shirk (Shirk Akbar), but they called it by other than its name as they classified it under: ((Tawassul)) and their ideal of that is what their scholars of Shirk and Tajahum acknowledged like Ibn Hajar and others , and some of them described that as Khilaf Al Awla (disagreement of the undesirable) and not from the major Shirk!
→ Not calling the supplication to the dead the major Shirk (Shirk Akbar), but they called it by other than its name as they classified it under: ((Tawassul)) and their ideal of that is what their scholars of Shirk and Tajahum acknowledged like Ibn Hajar and others , and some of them described that as Khilaf Al Awla (disagreement of the undesirable) and not from the major Shirk!
→ And from what is widespread and rampant amongst them is not calling the negation of Allah’s Uluw' (elevation), aboveness & transcendence a major Kufr, even among those who describe that as a mistake or a matter of dispute even though it is from the foundation of the religion (Asludeen) and Tawhid, of which disbelieves anyone who is ignorant thereof; that is ignorant of where his Lord & God. Whether before or after the news (reaches him from the Qur’an or Sunnah). As is indicated by the Hadith of the Muslim female slave in book of Muslim that states that knowing the Uluw' & aboveness of Allah is a condition to judge a man's Islam and his belief in Allah and his recognition of Allah:
-> Should I not emancipate her? He said: Bring her to me. He said: Then I brought her. He asked: Where is Allah ? She replied: In the heaven. He said: Who am I ? She replied: You are the Messenger of Allah. He said: Emancipate her, she is a believer. [Sahih Muslim (537)].
• If we cannot prove that Qutb went against his people because of those multiple Kufriyat by describing it as major Kufr.
* Then how can we prove his salvation and safety from the other Kufriyat which result from this Kufr - and that is rampant amongst the people of Egypt and other than them for centuries - like his excuse and not Takfir (Consider them Kuffar) the individuals from the ignorant people manifested the worship of graves and individuals who manifested the Kufriyat of the Asharis (Asharis in relation to Abu Al Hassan Al Ashary, was Kafir) such as denying the Uluw’ of Allah?!
“Whoever considered his people Kuffar for some Kufriyat, it is necessary to generalize Kufr on him and his people until he proves to us with certainty not by measurement that he has disavowed all their other Kufriyat and to described it as the major Kufr and it must be proven that he considered the individuals of his people as Kuffar because they have manifested those Kufriyat and this is confirmed with certainty as these Kufriyat are rampant and rooted in the beliefs and convictions of his people and the default status & predominance of these people (particularly those who are affiliated to religion science, literature, and culture in Egypt and others) is that their manifestation of these deep rooted Kufriyat amongst them. Therefore, whoever survived and got saved from some Kufriyat, didn’t survive or get saved from the other Kufriyat, and this is clear for anyone except for those whose sight Allah has obliterated by stubbornness, obstinacy and refusal. And how many times have we seen those who consider their people as Kuffar because of the rampant Kufriyat of legislation amongst them, but does not consider them Kuffar for “not affirming the Uluw’ of Allah” or for (worship of graves) and they are many and are more knowledgeable than Qutb”
* How can we fancy and imagine that Qutb was safe from all of these Kufriyat whilst it is spread amongst his people?!
- We have also seen some of the Jahmiyyah from the claimants of Tawhid consider the worshipers of the graves as Kuffar but they do not consider them as Kuffar because of their Kufriyat of legislation, even permitting the polytheistic parliaments (Shirk of legislation) for “benefit” and “necessity” even though Kufr is impermissible except through real coercion and whilst the heart is reassured with belief in Allah.
• So whoever considers the people of Iran as Kuffar because of the widespread worshiping of graves amongst them and their excusing of whoever does that, whilst he lives between a people of which the Shirk of legislation and parliament are widespread amongst and didn’t disavow them. Then, only the Jahmiyyah Murjia would consider such a person Muslim.
4- And the Kufr of the Murjia and Jahmiyyah Kufr was popular and deep rooted among these sects and people for centuries. That is to excuse and not Takfir (consider them Kuffar) those who manifested the Kufriyat of the Asharis even amongst those who opposed them. Such as: -
→ not declaring Takfir (consider them Kuffar) on the individuals who deny the Uluw’ of Allah.
→ not declaring Takfir (consider them Kuffar) on the individuals who are ignorant grave worshippers”.
→ not declaring Takfir (consider them Kuffar) on the individuals who are ignorant Rafidah (Shia)” and others.
• And this is visible and pervasive among those who are affiliated to religion science, literature, and culture more than among commoners in Egypt.
* So has innocence of Qutb from these Kufriyat and Takfir of whoever manifested them been proven?!
* Even we were to submit that he survived from one of the above axes, then how do we prove that he survived from the others?
- So why stubbornness, obstinacy! Ibn Al-Mubarak was asked about the worst man, so he said: - “The worst man is the one who sells his religion for the world of another man”.
• O! failure endeavor. we seek refuge in Allah from disappointment and the lack of success, and I wonder, some of Jahmiyyah who are pretending Tawhid and who consider peoples Kuffar on condition that they disavow from all their peoples Kufriyat while they don’t consider Qutb a Kafir although he only considers his peoples Kuffar because of the Shirk of legislation and what’s affiliated with it but he doesn’t consider them Kuffar due to other Kufriyat.
- So accordingly, Qutb has greatly fascinated them and they clung unto him and sold their Tawhid and Islam for the sake of his reverence, love, and defense of him with their knowledge of his belief, misguidance, whilst there is no proof of his retreat and whilst the conditions of repentance including doing righteous deeds, and openly declaring the truth of which he had concealed haven’t been met.
- And I swear, I interviewed about Qutb two of those who are affiliated to religion science, one of them is a university professor and the other is Mufti - and they are from the Salafi Sururi trend (as they are called): during their defence of Qutb, some words had slipped including his insult to some of the companions (Sahabah) may Allah be blessed with them, then they realized this, retreated, and asked Allah for forgiveness.
“And this indicates his great misguidance (Fitnah) and the hearts of the Murjia Jahmiyyah were imbued with his love like how the hearts of some of Bani Israel were imbued with the love of the calf- Both are Kufr but Kufr is ranks; and Takfir is for the one who knows his Kufriyat or refuses hearing its proofs because avoiding such is Kufr, and if Qutb was nameless and not a door of fitnah for the people as mentioned before, the matter would’ve been easier and less evil if we quoted without clarification, but this is not true”
- The situation is totally different if I quote a misguided Kafir by mentioning his name and book without clarifying his Kufr and misguidance in an assembly of those who know and acknowledge his Kufr and misguidance, the difference is clear here and there is no need for clarification.
- Because of the above, just quoting him in these major issues with the Fitnah and clinging to him without clarifying his situation is tribulating to people by which a man will be asked about in the day of judgement because that will promote him and guide people to him and his books which are full of misguidance and Kufr which is so clear for everyone, and anyone who gets affected by what is contained in his books then he will be recorded in your book & weighed in your measurement - And the appointment is with Allah O Jahmi - and death is close when remorse will be of no avail.
• And Qutb being right in his judgement regarding the “Shirk of legislation” and considering people Kuffar because of that will not intercede for those who guided people to his several Kufriyat. There is no difference between those who intended to misguide people and those who didn’t intend it. Good intentions is not an excuse to do something which is isn’t Kufr so how much so wouldn’t it be for Kufr? And Allah’s refuge is sought. Islamic laws (Sharia) were convinced by their cause, so any deed which leads to Haram is Haram. So, when we quote about him, we must fulfil the three points below without which there is no salvation: -
1- Either clarify his situation, Kufr, and Tajahom and this is the truth.
2- Or say: - “Take caution from his several Kufriyat and misguidances in his book even the editions he has acknowledged”.
3-Or quoting with this form: - “Someone said”, but this last one is the weakest one and I don’t feel satisfied with it for myself!
• O, my belover brother, saving ourselves and securing our Tawhid is more important and valuable than anything else, some people say: - “mention his name without clarification in order to bind his opponents who consider him a reference”, but this is not an excuse and not permitted because of the condition of the majority, followers, and readers and most of them are commoners, juniors, and novices and clarification and elaboration are a must for the two conditions: -
- The first: The time of need, and this is fulfilled.
- The second: In fear of Fitnah, confusion, and the promoting of people of misguidance and their books, and this is most fulfilled.
• I ask Allah to open up our hearts to truth and keep upon the truth till we meet him.
May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon Muhammed and upon his family and companion (Sahabah) altogether.
